    • Feeling Presidential? Stay at a Presidential Suite!

Posted at 2:19 pm by Minority Travel, on November 5, 2018

I didn’t pay for the presidential suite, it was a welcomed & an unexpected upgrade ๐Ÿ™‚

During my stay at the Marriott Whitefield, I was offered an upgrade to a suite which sounded great! I had stayed at a standard suite before at this same property, so I thought I knew what to expect. However, things took an unexpected turn when I was escorted to the 17th floor and then to the Presidential Suit.

A little about the hotel – This is probably one of the best Marriott hotels I have stayed at. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are more on the luxury side. What I like about this hotel is the gym. It’s one of the few hotel gyms that I look forward to using. It’s spacious, bright and attached to a steam room, a sauna, and a Jacuzzi which is perfect after a long flight and/or to help with jet lag. The service is superb, I do not know the ratio of staff to guests, but it feels high. For instance, if you cross the lobby from the elevators to the front door, you’re probably greeted by at least ~4 employees.

Now back to the P.S. (as it’s commonly referred to by staff), needless to say the suite is gigantic and there’s only ONE PS in the entire hotel. So it felt pretty special being the guest staying at the PS.

I will let the pics do the trick and add a little bit of color when needed.

Of course, no PS is complete without a grandย  foyer with a chandelier and a guest bathroom to the side of it.

A living & dinning room which can also be used to play soccer or cricket ๐Ÿ˜‰ But instead, I was able to invite my colleagues over.

      A dining room – seats 8!

A freaking kitchen! Fully stocked kitchen. Why not?

An office which I found pretty useful and spent hours and hours in this room.

A master bedroom with a seating area.

A dressing room connected to the master bedroom and bathroom.

And a luxurious bathroom with a Japanese toilet seat (sensor operated & heated!) large walk-in shower and tub.

I’m not expecting to land such an upgrade in the future, but hey being a Platinum Premier does pay off ๐Ÿ™‚
