The best business class travel is the one you do not have to pay for 🙂 I was recently upgraded on my flight back to the US from Dublin. The aircraft was a 757 (single aisle) and my first time on a small plane across the Atlantic.
At the airport and after checking-in and going through the US immigration, I found out that I was upgraded due to overbooked economy class. What a relief!
Seat
I was in 1A. First time I have seen these seats on a 757. The seat was very comfortable and surprisingly it didn’t feel crammed. It’s a flatbed seat with all the bells and whistles of the usual business/D1 seats.
Food
Upon boarding, we were offered champagne/orange juice/mimosa.
After take off, meal service started with a drink and mixed nuts. Followed by the main meal.
Mid-flight a warm cookie was offered 🙂
Before landing a light meal was offered.
Service was what you would expect from Delta especially in business/D1. I can’t stress enough how great it was to sit upfront for the 6-hour flight especially on a 757, huge difference and I would pay for an upgrade next time (if I can!)
